藝術家簡介

简介
湖北大冶人。1941年毕业于武昌艺术专科学校。1941年至1948年历任武昌艺专助教、讲师、副教授。1949年至1951年任蜀中艺术专科学校教授兼教务主任。1952年至1982年任西南师范学院美术系教授兼绘画教研室主任。现任西南师范大学油画技法研究生导师。国家教育委员会出版专业职务评审委员会委员兼美术学科组组长。中国美术家协会会员。美协四川分会理事。擅长油画,作品有《高坑岩发电水库》(入选第二届全国美展),以及《车轮滚滚支前忙》、《菠萝与广柑》等。

年表
1913生于湖北省大冶县。
1939考入湖北武昌艺术专科学校附属师范科,后升入油画专业本科,师从唐一禾。
1941毕业后留任助教。
1943-1948先后任武昌艺专讲师、副教授。
1949任重庆歌乐山蜀中艺专副教授。
1951-1952任重庆牛角沱重庆艺专教授兼教务主任。
1952-1992任西南师范大学美术系教授。五〇年代创作有《北方老人头像》、《高滩岩瀑布》等,六〇年代之创作《老铁匠》、《五儿》,七〇年代早期作品有《晌午》,一九七八年起进入创作高峰,七〇末至八〇年代代表性作品有《春暖融融》、《金秋硕果》、《紫藤缤纷》、《镜前的水仙与山茶花》、《秋菊》、《阳台与猫》、《南国佳果》、《秋韵》、《枇杷》与一系列人物创作。九〇年代以静物作品为主,包括《草莓》、《午后的苹果》、《早晨的苹果》、《紫薇》、《瓶与花》等。
1982担任西南师范大学美术系美术教育专业硕士学位研究生导师。
1987自西南师范大学退休。
1988接受「返聘」,继续于西南师范大学美术系任研究生导师。
1991执教五十周年获重庆美术家协会颁发荣誉金奖。
1992举办刘一层从教五十周年师生画展获得圆满成功。
代表性论著有:
@论文《唐一禾的艺术道路》,《美术研究》一九八二年第三期发表,《美卫》一九九一无第四期转载,收录于一九九一年台北艺术出版社出版之《唐一禾画集》。

Liu Yiceng

Brief Introduction

 

He was from Da Chih County, Hupei Province. Graduated from Wu Chong Art College in 1941, where he also worked as an assistant, lecturer and vice professor from 1941 to 1948. From 1949 to 1951, he was employed by Central Sichuan Art College as professor and dean. From 1952 through 1982, he worked as professor and Director of Painting Instruction and Research at the Department of Art at Southwestern Normal School. Currently he is guidance instructor for graduate students for oil painting skills at Southwestern University. He is also a member of the Professional Publishing Evaluation Commission and Art Section Chief at the State Education Commission. He is a member of the China Artist Association, as well as the Board Director of Sichuan Branch of the Association. His expertise is in oil painting. Some of his works included “Gao Ken Yan Power Generation Dam” (Selected for the Second National Art Exhibition) and “The Busy Rolling Wheels” and “Pineapples and Oranges”, etc.

 

Chronology

 

1913 born in Da Chih County, Hupei Province

 

1939 entered via examination Normal School Course, Wu Chong Art College, Hupei Province. Later into oil painting department, following teacher Tang Yi He.

 

1941 stayed as an assistant after graduation.

 

1943 – 1948 worked as instructor and vice professor at Wu Chong Art College

 

1949 worked at Central Sichuan Art College as professor, located in Ge Le Shan, Chungking

 

1951 – 1952 worked as professor and dean at Chungking Art College in Niu Jiao Tor, Chungking

 

1952 – 1992 worked as professor at Department of Art at Southwestern Normal University. Works created in the 50’s included “Head of an Old Northerner” and “Guo Tan Yan Waterfalls”; works created in the 60’s included “Old Blacksmith” “The Fifth Son”; works done in the early stages of the 70’s included “High Noon”. From 1978 he entered a creative summit, representative works from the 1970 to 1980 included “Warm Spring Days”, “The Fruits of Golden Autumn”, “The Tangling Purple Ivies”, “Water Lilies and Mountain Tea Flowers in Front of the Mirror”, “The Autumn Magnolia”, “Balcony and the Cat”, “Fruits of the South”, “Autumn Sounds”, “Loquat” and a series of created personalities. In the 1990’s his work were mostly stills including “Strawberries”, “The Afternoon Apples”, “The Morning Apples”, “The Crepe Myrtle”, “The Vase and the Flowers” etc.

 

1982 worked as guidance councilor to MA candidates in Art Education at Southwestern Normal University.

 

1987 retired from Southwestern Normal University.

 

1988 accepted “re-employment” and continued to be guidance councilor to MA candidates in Art Education at Southwestern Normal University.

 

1991 received an honorary gold award from Chungking Artists Association for teaching 50 years.

 

1992 held painting exhibition by Liu Yiceng and students for Teaching 50 years anniversary

 

Representative publications:

 

Thesis: “The Artistic Road of Tang Yi He” published in No. 3 issue of “Research on Art” in 1982 and reprinted by “Art” No. 4 issue 1991 and included in the “Paintings of Tang Yi He” published by Taipei Art Press, 1991.
